Advance earns full FCSA accreditation

The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA) is pleased to announce that Advance has demonstrated full compliance with the FCSA Code of Conduct.  Advance already holds FCSA accreditation for its umbrella services and self-employment services and following the addition of its accountancy solution, is the only FCSA member currently to hold all three accreditations.

To become a member an applicant has to undergo a rigorous review of its business services, operations, policies and processes established by the FCSA following extensive liaison with HMRC.

The FCSA Code is designed to demonstrate to Government, as well as freelancers, contractors and recruiters looking for a service provider, that a company is financially stable, provides high quality professional services and operates to the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Compliance with the Code is verified and validated by independent assessors that are regulated accountants and lawyers.  Review documentation is deposited with HMRC at the end of the accreditation process.

Advance was established by managing director Tim Hunt in 2010 to provide professional support and services to contractors, freelancers and recruiters.  On being accepted as a full member of the FCSA, Tim Hunt said:  “We are delighted to be recognised and endorsed by the FCSA for all our business services and it is even more special that we are the first member to have achieved this.  FCSA echoes our own brand values and commitment to best practice and compliance and we look forward to continuing our close work with the Association to drive up standards throughout the industry.  Advance stands for professionalism, compliance and first-class service and like the FCSA we believe that the UK’s flexible workforce should accept no less.”

Julia Kermode, Chief Executive of the FCSA added: “It is fantastic news that Advance Accounting has been able to meet the extremely high standards required to become a recognised member of the FCSA and I’m delighted to welcome them on board.  I am particularly pleased to see another accountancy solution join FCSA, and I look forward to continue working together to raise standards in our sector.

“FCSA membership is the quality mark that every freelancer and contractor should look for when considering a professional services company to advise them.  Everyone choosing to work with an FCSA member can have peace of mind that they will receive a reliable, responsible, and ethical service.”
