FCSA Appoints Kate Jolly as New Chair of the Board

Team FCSA

FCSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Jolly as the newly appointed Chair of the Board, succeeding James Burrows. With over 30 years of experience in corporate governance, board leadership, and international business strategy, Kate brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to FCSA at a pivotal time for the industry.

A highly regarded non-executive director (NED) and board advisor, Kate has worked across multiple industries, helping organisations navigate complex governance challenges, scale operations, and ensure compliance in highly regulated environments. She is also a Certified Corporate Governance specialist and has held prominent leadership roles, including Master of the Company of Entrepreneurs in the City of London.

Continuing the Mission of High Compliance and Ethical Standards

Kate’s appointment comes as FCSA continues to drive higher standards in the contracting and recruitment sector. With increasing regulatory scrutiny and ongoing legislative changes, her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening FCSA’s role as the industry’s leading compliance body.

Chris Bryce, Chief Executive of FCSA, welcomed the appointment:

“Kate’s extensive governance experience and strategic insight make her the ideal Chair to guide FCSA through the next phase of its journey. As we continue to champion compliance, transparency, and best practice across the sector, I have no doubt that Kate will be a driving force in ensuring that FCSA remains the benchmark for excellence.”

Outgoing Chair James Burrows reflected on his time leading the Board and expressed confidence in Kate’s leadership:

“It has been an honour to serve as Chair of FCSA during such a transformative period for the industry. The challenges facing our sector have never been greater, but FCSA’s commitment to upholding the highest compliance standards has never wavered. I’m delighted to pass the baton on to Kate, whose expertise in corporate governance will further strengthen FCSA’s leadership and influence.”

A Vision for the Future

Kate Jolly spoke about her vision for FCSA and her commitment to maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s role as the gold standard for compliance:

“FCSA plays a vital role in ensuring that the flexible workforce operates within a framework of integrity, professionalism, and ethical responsibility. As Chair, my priority is to continue building on the strong foundations laid by James, the Board, and the Members Council, working closely with members, government, and industry stakeholders to ensure that FCSA remains at the forefront of compliance and best practice.”

As FCSA continues to navigate a changing regulatory landscape, Kate’s leadership will help ensure that FCSA remains the trusted voice for the industry, advocating for fair, transparent, and ethical practices.
