The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA), the UK’s leading independent professional employment services trade association, is holding a series of free seminars up and down the country to equip recruiters with all the information they need ahead of April 6th when the new travel and subsistence legislation comes into force.
From April, umbrella companies will be prevented from delivering contractors’ properly incurred tax relief on travel and subsistence expenses at source which will mean significant changes to the way the sector operates. There are also new rules to determine eligibility for the tax relief, and both of these changes will have a knock-on effect for the whole industry. FCSA wants to ensure that recruiters receive the best advice available from industry experts on how to manage their supply chain and minimise any potential risks.
Industry experts from Ernst & Young, Brabners and Worklab will outline the legislative changes, best practice around the new rules and the risks and challenges they present, how to engage with providers and balance commercial best practice and risk management as well as providing insight on how the marketplace is set to react to the changes.
