FCSA welcomes SmartWork as newest Accredited Member

SmartWork has been awarded Accredited Membership of The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA) demonstrating that it fully complies with the trade body’s strict code of compliance.

To qualify as an Accredited Member, a firm undergoes rigorous testing carried out by professionally qualified independent experts who are regulated accountants and solicitors with significant knowledge of the sector.  The review is evidence-based and includes assessment of the applicant’s business structure, financials, services, operations, policies and processes.  The findings are shared with HMRC in an act of unparalleled transparency.

SmartWork has over a decade of knowledge and experience within the contracting sector, providing a fully compliant solution to safeguard the interests of its umbrella employees, recruitment business and other partners.

On becoming a member of FCSA, Neil Kane, Sales Manager at SmartWork said: “We are delighted to be joining FCSA and to be recognised and endorsed for our market-leading working standards. The Association echoes our own corporate values and commitment to best practice, which give our clients reassurance that they are working with a highly professional and fully compliant company. Our service has been shaped with our valuable flexible work force in mind – we guarantee that each of our employees receives complete security, full employee benefits and unrivalled customer care throughout their employment with us.  FCSA is leading the way in supporting the flexible work force and we are proud to be a part of its drive to improve standards across our industry.”

Julia Kermode, FCSA’s Chief Executive added: “In an unregulated industry, we are keen to promote the highest of standards and our focus is on protecting contractors and freelancers by ensuring they are only working with the most scrupulous and compliant businesses.  I am pleased to welcome SmartWork on board and look forward to working with Neil and his team on continuing to make a difference for the good of our industry.”
