FCSA’s Chief Executive Julia Kermode has been invited to speak at this year’s Recruitment Agency Expo at the NEC in Birmingham. She will deliver a seminar on compliancy on Thursday October 1st in Theatre 2 at 10:30 – 11:00.
In an unregulated industry Julia Kermode will be on hand to offer advice to recruitment agencies when choosing to work with umbrella employers and accountancy service providers.
Today, in the region of 20% of the UK workforce are choosing an alternative to permanent employment and now working as freelancers, contractors or through their own personal service companies, and navigating the maze of legislation governing this space is complex. The challenge comes in identifying a compliant company you can trust and know that it is working within the rules of an ever-changing legislative landscape.
The seminar will also seek to dispel some of the myths around the role of service providers to help foster better working relationships between recruiters and the flexible workforce they support.
Julia Kermode said: “The relationship between a recruiter and umbrella is one that is key to supporting and sustaining a strong flexible workforce and vitally important to the growth and success of the UK economy. Recruitment Agency Expo is the perfect platform for FCSA to reach out to recruiters, dispel some myths around the role of umbrella employers and, in doing so, help to promote and foster improved relationships between recruiters, umbrellas and the contractors for whom they exist to help.”
