Lucid Support Services, based in Milton Keynes, celebrate their 20th Anniversary in April 2022, and have established themselves as a trusted provider of technical and IT project delivery and temporary recruitment services. They offer fast, reliable, and cost-effective partnerships to IT clients; supporting clients in bidding and winning tenders; provide up-to-date marketplace insight and evaluations and set up and maintaining a ‘virtual bench’ of pre-selected IT consultants and engineers for their clients to select from based on demand.
Lucid’s story began with Alun Jones, Managing Director, who has worked within Tech Project Delivery and IT Recruitment for over 25 years, having first learnt the trade within a Large UK Plc, starting as Business Development Executive and quickly being promoted to Team Leader and then New Business Sales Manager.
Alun established Lucid in 2002 with a small group of ex-colleagues, with the aim to provide top quality, time efficient and cost-effective solutions for companies in the IT Channel that needed additional technical staff, interim IT workers and project delivery consultants throughout the UK. Lucid began with a core team of four staff. Turnover grew every year for the first ten years and Lucid now has over 35 staff at their head office in Milton Keynes and over 200 consultants and engineers on client sites across the UK.
Quote from Alun Jones, Managing Director, “I am incredibly proud to be celebrating this milestone. What started as a way to earn a living by providing integrity-based recruitment services has grown to becoming a highly certified, recognised, and valued partner to clients and contractors across the country. We genuinely care about our staff, clients, contractors, suppliers, our community, and environment. The last 20 years has been a really enjoyable ride filled with highs, lows, ups and downs, and plenty of learning opportunities. We are no more than the sum of our parts, which includes everyone over the years that has advised, guided, had faith in us and most importantly worked for Lucid, I would like to thank everyone that has contributed to our success in this time. Without them we would still be 4 guys working from a broom cupboard”
