Head of Policy and Public Affairs

Nick Dancer is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at the Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA), where he leads the organisation’s work on regulation, legislation, and external stakeholder engagement. With a diverse policy background and a passion for raising standards across all sectors, Nick works closely with government departments, MPs, and industry leaders to represent the interests of compliant umbrella companies and the wider supply chain.

He’s particularly focused on ensuring that new legislation—like the Employment Rights Bill—works in practice for agencies, intermediaries, and workers alike. Nick also oversees the development of FCSA’s public positions and consultation responses, helping to shape policy that reflects the real-world complexity of the temporary labour market.
