The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) has revealed Riddingtons Payroll as its newest member, after the Kent-based accountants passed FCSA accreditation for compliant umbrella employment services.
As the UK’s leading trade body for the professional employment services sector, the FCSA rigorously assessed Riddingtons’ practices against its compliance codes and models in an independent assessment.
Having passed all tests – which assessed its Umbrella and CIS services – the group now joins the ranks of more than 70 other FCSA members; a register providing reassurances to the wider supply chain that they’re working with compliant and trustworthy businesses.
Established in 2016 – and with 30 years of combined experience in dealing with CIS compliance – Riddingtons’ team works to assess each employee’s status, which allows their clients to focus their time and effort on business-critical issues. The business offers outsourced labour supply services to subcontractors under CIS, individuals under a contract of employment, as well as engaging directly with limited companies.
To ensure members are operating both professionally and ethically within UK tax, employment and regulatory laws, all FCSA members are evaluated on their processes, operations and policies and continually reassessed on a regular basis.
Subsequent accreditation to FCSA membership provides the rest of the supply chain with assurances the umbrella companies, limited company advisors, professional employment organisations and CIS contractor providers are safe and compliant to work with.
FCSA chief executive, Chris Bryce added: “Following the FCSA’s rigorous assessment, we’re delighted to add Riddingtons to our ever-growing list of members.
“The more compliant businesses there are in operation, the more coherent the industry’s voice will be in demonstrating best practice within the umbrella sector.
“When they become accredited, members agree to full adherence to our charter. This outlines our pre-requisite benchmark standards, mandating that businesses must operate both ethically and legally.
“In addition, FCSA accredited members have been audited to confirm that they adhere to the FCSA compliance code – a stringent stress-test of their business operations as a clear commercial differentiator.
“Along with our members, we always strive for the highest levels of compliance and transparency within the industry. Riddingtons joining as members will only make the voice for compliant standards grow even stronger.”
As the industry-leading trade association, the FCSA works to support and protect the interests of the sector and the flexible workforce.
